The programme has been designed with the objective of exposing students to the latest standards, trends and issues in the areas of accounting such as financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation and accounting information system. This programme incorporates value added courses with applications of IT knowledge such as e-commerce and computer applications.

Students will also be equipped with some business skills such as economics, finance, investment, entrepreneurship and management, and will also be exposed to the real world experience through internship programme in various accounting firms and selected organisations. This programme is also recognised by professional accounting bodies at the international level.

After completion of the diploma programme you can opt for a related degree programme from either FOB or FOM, except for the Bachelor of Financial Engineering (Hons.)

  • Entry Requirements
      1. Possess SPM with at least THREE (3) credits in any subjects (inclusive of Mathematics) and a pass in English or any equivalent qualification; OR
      2. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum Grade C of Grade Point (GP) 2.00 in a subject and a credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level or any equivalent qualification; OR
      3. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul (Pass) and a credit in Mathematics and a pass in in English at SPM level or any equivalent qualification; OR
      4. Possess SKM Level 3 in a related field with credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level or any equivalent qualification; OR
      5. A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a related field with at least a CGPA of 2.00; OR
      6. Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government as equivalent to the above requirements; OR
      7. Pass UEC with a minimum of Grade B in at least three (3) subjects inclusive of Mathematics and a Pass in English; OR
      8. Possess an APEL.A certificate from MQA for admission into Diploma programmes.
    • Notes for i, ii, iii & vi: Candidates without a credit/ pass in Mathematics and without a pass in English at SPM level need to take and pass the enhancement Mathematics and/or English subject that equivalent to the SPM level. The enhancement subject must be offered in first semester or before enrolment with conditional offer.
    • Students from higher qualification can be exempted from taking enhancement Mathematics and English, provided that the Mathematics and English offered at that programme level is equivalent/ more than the requirement specified for this level.
