On 31 July 2026, MMU achieved another milestone when the university received the W.I.S.H Excellence in Digital Innovation & Technology Education Award at the W.I.S.H Global Leadership Summit & W.I.S.H Excellence Awards 2026, held in Kuala Lumpur.

Representing the university, Ms. Nadia Mahmud, Dean of the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), received the award. Also present were Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development, and Dr. Vimala Perumal.

The recognition honours MMU’s contributions to digital innovation, technological advancement, future-ready education, research excellence, and talent development, which have supported Malaysia’s digital transformation agenda and the development of a highly skilled workforce for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and beyond.
