On 8 June 2026, a group of students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) participated in a community clean-up programme at Pasar Besar Melaka as part of the requirements for the Personal Social Responsibility (PSR) subject. The activity was conducted under the guidance of Mdm. Norainy Abdul Razak and in collaboration with the Melaka Historic City Council (MBMB) and SWM Environment Sdn. Bhd.
During the programme, students assisted in cleaning and washing the court area of the market alongside personnel from MBMB and SWM Environment. The activity provided students with an opportunity to contribute to the local community while gaining a greater appreciation of the importance of public hygiene and environmental sustainability.
In addition to the hands-on experience, students attended a briefing conducted by representatives from SWM Environment on the use of industrial cleaning equipment and the operational aspects of large-scale cleaning activities. The programme offered valuable insights into environmental management practices and reinforced the role of individual and collective responsibility in maintaining clean and sustainable public spaces.
