About 150 Faculty of Management (FOM) students recently took part in the Kickstart Your Marketing Journey industry sharing session held at the NMES Lab, FAIE. The session brought students closer to real marketing practices beyond the classroom, focusing on industry expectations and career readiness.
The programme was made possible through collaboration between Bank Islam Youth Ambassador (BIYA) and Structured iCadet student, Mr. Amir Ikhwan, under the guidance of Ms. Fatin Zaida Zaidi from Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB). It was supported by the ACE Team and officiated by Mr. Albert, Deputy Director of ACE, together with FOM lecturers Dr. Nurazlin Mohd Fauzi and Ms. Nurul Atiah Mohd Zin.
The session featured Mr. Azmir Abdul Malek, Director of Business Marketing, who shared insights on the realities of working in the marketing field and encouraged students with the message 鈥淭hink Big, Execute Bigger.鈥 He was joined by Mr. Muhammad Ainul Ikhwan, Employer Branding Intern, who highlighted internship exposure and early career opportunities within the organisation.
The session concluded with active student participation, where discussions reflected strong interest in understanding how marketing is applied in real business environments. The collaboration helped strengthen students鈥 awareness of industry expectations while supporting their career preparation.
