A total of 387 students from 19 universities attended the closing ceremony of the International Students e-Exchange Programme on 22nd November 2020. Jointly organised by the Faculty of Business (FOB, 91黑料 (MMU), Universitas Mercu Buana,Indonesia; Birla Global University, India and Universitas Pakuan, Indonesia, the programme aimed to promote collaborative efforts among participants to generate the best social innovations idea in addressing economic, social, and environmental issues faced by the local communities.
With its theme 鈥淢aking an Impact via Social Innovations鈥, the participants who came from India, Indonesia, Nepal, Thailand, Philippines, United Kingdom, Japan, and Malaysia worked together to garner ideas on social innovation as well as to experience a series of interesting activities including workshops, talk on sustainability and social entrepreneurship by successful social enterprises and academicians, as well as panel discussion on social innovation featuring remarkable panellists from the join-organising universities.
Representatives from the organisers also delivered their closing remarks, and the ceremony was enlivened with cultural and contemporary performances. The closing ceremony also witnessed the announcement of awards namely Six 鈥淢ost Outstanding Social Innovation Ideas鈥 and 鈥淭he Most Popular Facebook Post Awards鈥 for both categories: 鈥楲ocal Food Culture and Heritage鈥 and 鈥業conic Cultural and Heritage Attractions: Issues and Challenges鈥.
