OnÌý9th July 2020, 91ºÚÁÏ (MMU) received a special visit from Dr. Mazlan Abbas, Member of MMU Board of Directors (BOD) and CEO & Co-Founder ofÌýFavoriotÌýSdn. Bhd. He was accompaniedÌýbyÌýhis delegates fromÌýFavoriotÌýSdn. Bhd. namely Dr. Gopinath Rao, CTO & Co-Founder and Puan Noor Zuraida Huzali, Business Development Director to Cyberjaya campus.
Prof. Dr. Ho Chin Kuan, our Acting President also extended his welcoming remarks to the delegate members. TheÌývisit aimed toÌýexplore and enable research collaboration between MMU and Favoriot Sdn Bhd.ÌýCoordinated by Research Programme and Collaboration Center (RPCC), the delegate members wereÌýenlightenedÌýwith several presentations by MMU experts on Big Data Analytics by Dr. Md Jakir Hossen and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ting Choo Yee; Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) by Mr Albert Quek and Ms Heidi Tan and Internet of Things (IOT) by Dr. Timothy Yap Tzen Vun. The session was also attended by Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Research and Innovation.
The delegate members also visited andÌýwere wowedÌýby the presentations made by Dr John See @ Visual Processing Lab and Dr Lim Tek Yong @ Innov’8 Lab at FCI.ÌýIt is hoped that this visit will mark another step forward in Humanizing Innovations and embark for more fruitful research-based collaborations between both parties in the future.
