Description: Let us extend our heartiest congratulations to Professor Dr. Mardeni Roslee FASc, Chairman for Wireless Technology at the Centre for Intelligent Network, who received the Best Researcher Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) ComSoc VTS Chapter at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur, on 7 February 2026.

The award was presented during the Annual General Meeting of the IEEE Malaysia Section and attended by the Chairman of the IEEE ComSoc VTS Chapter. IEEE is an American professional organization dedicated to advancing electrical engineering, electronics engineering, and related disciplines. Professor Mardeni, a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and a Top Research Scientist in Malaysia, emerged as the recipient from a competitive pool of IEEE ComSoc VTS members, including representatives from public universities, private universities, and industry across Malaysia.

His success reflects not only Prof. Mardeni’s leadership excellence but also MMU’s strong commitment to strengthening its research and academic ecosystem through cutting edge research and global academic recognition. This national recognition highlights his outstanding contributions to advancing science, engineering and technology, while enabling the pursuit of transformative projects that address key societal challenges and drive innovation in Malaysia.
